Brandon and his wife were living in Arlington when he was drafted into the Army.
Arriving in Vietnam 10 January 1967, he was assigned to A Company, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, USARV. A Company was in their night defensive position, when they were attacked by hostile forces, 9 kilometers northeast of Cu Chi and 3 kilometers southwest of Phu Hoa. Brandon was wounded February 26 by hostile small arms fire and died March 17 of his wounds.
Survived by his wife, Karen J Brandon of Arlington, VA and his parents; Mr & Mrs Kenneth Paulhamus of North Williamsport,PA.
