Kathi Phillips Shuler, 67, of Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born in Mooresville to the late Fred Calloway Phillips, Sr., and Lutelle Hodgson Phillips. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Camilla Phillips Murdock. Kathi was employed by the Town of Mooresville at the Mooresville Citizens Center before her retirement. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church.
Kathi is survived by her husband, Glenn Allen Shuler; sons, Rev. Taylor Allen Shuler & wife, Tamara and Adam Yancy Shuler; sisters, Joan Phillips Newton and Patti Lou Phillips Nantz & husband, Douglas; brother, F. C. Phillips, Jr. & wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Meredith Alaine Shuler Suders & husband, Reagan, Sarah Nicole Shuler Hobbs & husband, Benjamin and James Calloway Shuler.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, July 16 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be on Sunday, July 17 at 3:00 PM at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Schnitzlein officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.
