CLARENCE CARTER DIES IN CHICAGO
L.C. Carter, 619 West Knox street, received word Saturday of the death of his brother, Clarence Carter, who died at his home in Chicago Saturday morning. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born and educated in Galesburg and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Carter, lifelong residents of Galesburg. He was a veteran of the world war.
Surviving are the widow, Gertrude Carter, Chicago; three brothers, Harold and Eugene Carter of Denver, Colo., and L.C. Carter of Galesburg, and two sisters, Miss Estelia Carter, Chicago, and Mrs. Eva Bradley, Denver, Colo.
Harold and Eugene Carter and Mrs. Eva Bradley drove through from Denver and were joined here by L.C. Carter on Monday morning and they continued on to Chicago. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Metropolitan Funeral Home in Chicago and burial will be in Chicago.
