Gouverneur-Mary Lee Woodrow, 75, died July 26, 2016 at her home. Funeral service at Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. Gregory Bailey, pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church, Gouverneur officiating with burial in East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur.
Mary was b orn at home in Pyrities on Apr. 7, 1941, daughter of Albert and Dorothy James Dafoe.
She graduated from high school and worked a JJ Newberry's for over 20 yrs and SLU, and at McDonald's in Gouverneur.
Mary married Lawrence E Woodrow on July 19, 1975 at Gouverneur First United Methodist Church with Rev. Stanley E Brown presiding. She is survived b y her husband Lawrence "Woody" Woodrow; her children John A Andrus and fiance Ann Burstin of Balston Spa, Katherine M Robbins of Somerville, Sheryl D Holmes and husband Dan of Gouverneur; 5 grandchildren; stepchildren Lawrence Woodrow Jr and wife Julie, Pam Bovay and husband Jody, Rusty Woodrow, Randy Woodrow, Ricky Woodrow and wife Trudy; several great grandchildren; step grandchildren; and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Sonny,Donnie,James, and Ronnie Dafoe; sisters Alice DeLorme, Janie Hooper, and Mary Ann Mussen.
