Mrs. Dorothy M. Rhoat, 72, a resident of Kalkaska for the past 51 years, died early Saturday, January 17, 1981 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Centre.
She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin on August 31, 1908, the daughter of John and Dora (Belaire) Bennett.
She was married to Daniel Rhoat in Newberry, Michigan on September 17, 1927.
She is survived by her husband Daniel;
a son Gordon Rhoat of Kalkaska, MI;
one daughter Mrs. Betty Bogart of Kalkaska, MI;
one brother Earl Edward Bennett of Mt. Vernon, Illinois;
7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm January 20, 1981 at the Schwartz-Wolfe Funeral Home of Kalkaska. Eddie Bratton, pastor of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery of Kalkaska.
