Carol I. Bishop, age 91, of 713 Shoto Road, Two Rivers, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012.
Carol was born on December 12, 1920, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Maximillion and Louise (Haaker) Bermke. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1939. On September 13, 1941, she married Edward H. Bishop at Crown Point, IN. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1977. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Snip and Sew, and was also involved in the local 4-H Club. She was the world's best mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her beautiful lawn and flowers.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law: Dawn M. (Jim) Rauch, Fond du Lac; three grandchildren: Samantha Schwefel, Fond du Lac; Melanie Sommers, Madison; Bryan Whitenack, Fond du Lac; six great grandchildren: Kaleb, Connor, Hahna, Bryce, Mason, and Drake; one brother and sister-in-law: Allen (Marian) Bermke, Sheboygan. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Edward Bishop; one son and daughter-in-law: Wayne A. (Shin-Chun) Bishop; one brother: Frederick Bermke; infant brother: Billy Bermke; one sister: Marcella Thielen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at First Lutheran Church Chapel, 521 North 8th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Roald Harswick will officiate. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church chapel on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
