HEART FAILURE CAUSES DEATH
Mrs. Martha Billington Passes Away This Morning After Short Illness.
After two weeks' illness Mrs. Martha Billington passed away this morning at 6:30 o'clock at her home on North Broad Street. Heart disease caused the death. She has been confined to her bed most of the time during the two weeks with this same trouble, asthma entering in as a complication.
She was born April 12th, 1842, in Ohio. Her marriage to John Billington took place in Illinois in 1895, the two coming to Galesburg 11 years ago. Since that time she has lived on the farm outside the city limits on Broad Street. Her husband died seven years ago. She was a member of Central Church.
Surviving are two brothers, William Bostrick of Farmington and another brother, who lives in Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Eliza Russel of Odell, NE. In addition a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ella Hanner, of Los Angeles, California, and a stepson, I.L. Billington, of Galesburg, mourn her loss.
Arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been announced.

REMAINS TAKEN TO ONTARIO
Funeral services of Mrs. Martha Billington were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the home on North Broad Street. Rev. C.E. McKinley of the First Congregational conducted the rites, expressing his appreciation of the deceased, with fitting words. The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hinchliff.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Will Allen of Oneida, W.H. Wilson, A.J. Felt, Dr. George S. Gates, William Smith and A.J. Pittard. The remains were taken to Ontario, where they were interred in the Ontario Cemetery.
