Kermit B. Staudt, 89, of Heidelberg Drive, Phoebe Berks Village Commons, Wernersville, died Feb. 9 at 12:10 p.m. in his residence at the Commons.

He was the husband of Annie H. (Himmelrich) Staudt.

Born in Lower Heidelberg Township, he was a son of the late Charles K. and Eva E. (Bender) Staudt.

Staudt had been employed for 17 years in housekeeping by Boscov's, retiring in 1993. He had previously worked for many years as a dairy farmer at Staudt Farm, now Old Dry Road Farm in Lower Heidelberg Township.

He was a member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Lower Heidelberg Township, where he was former deacon and elder.

Staudt was a 1931 graduate of Wilson High School.

He is also survived by three sons: David A. and Daniel K., both of Sinking Spring, and Peter L., Robesonia.

Other survivors include a brother, Elwood B., Hamburg; and two sisters, Elberta E. (Staudt) Lamm, Myerstown, Lebanon County, and Thelma V. (Staudt) Brown, Auburn, N.Y.

There are also four grandchildren.

Staudt was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne M. Staudt.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. John's (Hain's) Church. Burial will be in Hain's Church Cemetery, Lower Heidelberg Township. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, is in charge of arrangements.
