Shirley L. Kittell, age 72, of 13153 Walkers Bay Rd, Pound, WI, a former Manitowoc resident, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Shirley was born on March 30, 1941 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Bruseth) Schindler. She attended Two Rivers schools and graduated from Lincoln High School. On December 19, 1964 she married Ronald Kittell at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers. Shirley worked as a press operator and assembler at the Mirro Company from 1960 until 1973. She then worked for Paragon from 1977 until 1983. Shirley was also a secretary for Heileman Brewing and then secretary for Refrigeration Repair until her retirement in 2001. She was also a member of the Travelers Protective Association as the Secretary and Treasurer. Shirley enjoyed wintering in Florida with her many friends.

Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law: Janice and Brad Klabunde, Two Rivers; three brothers: Robert, Terry and Bruce Schindler, all of Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law: Debbie Schindler, Mountain, Sandy Schindler and Evelyn Schindler, both of Manitowoc, four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Harold and Jean Kittell, Valders, Carol Kittell, Reedsville, Harlan Kittell, Cato, Jerry Kittell, Madison, and David Kittell, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Kittell; one niece; Suzanne Kittell, two brothers: Otto and John Schindler.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Matt Sauer with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
