CHESTER - Mrs. Etta Jane Worthy Bostic, 77, died Sunday at a local hospital after a long illness.

Native of Chester County, daughter of the late John W. and Frances Nelson Worthy, she was a member of Wil-Mar Baptist Church of Concord, N.C. and had lived for the past two years with a son, T.E. Bostic, East Lacy Street, Chester.

Surviving are six other sons, E.L. Bostic of Chester, R.H., James A., and Howard Bostic of Charlotte, N.C., J.C. Bostic and Joe E. Bostic of Greensboro; six daughters, Mrs. J.E. Brines of Concord, N.C., Mrs. O.F. Caldwell, Mrs. Blanche Rhinehardt and Mrs. E.A. Baber of Chester, Mrs. Marie Mills of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Melvin McManus of Chester; a brother, Robert W. Worthy of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Bishop, Mrs. Wright Whitesides and Mrs. F.D. Wilburn of Chester; 34 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will b conducted Tuesday a 4 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church in Chester by Rev. J.Q. Carroll, Rev. John Garner and Rev. CO. Moser. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.

The Body will be at the home of her son, Thomas E. Bostic after 6 p.m. Monday. Wright's Home for Funerals is in charges.
