Mary Beatrice Kemper, 88, of Warrenton, passed away on Aug. 11, 2016, at the Fauquier Hospital.

She was born June 16, 1928, in Fauquier County, to the late John Corbin and Lena Kirkpatrick Corbin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Warren Kemper.

Mrs. Kemper was a former employee of The Fauquier Democrat, a homemaker and a second grandmother to many children as a child care provider.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mary Jane and Kyle Corbin, John William and Lisa Kemper and Keith James Kemper, all of Warrenton, and Robert “Burrhead: and Candy Kemper of Sumerduck; a sister, Patricia Ball of Nevada; five grandchildren, Teresa Corbin, William Corbin, William Kemper, Mary Elizabeth Kemper and John “Boogie” Kemper; her step grandchildren, Becky Painter, Brian Williams, Ben Willis, Bethany Willis and Brie Taylor; eight great grandchildren, and her dog, Stitch.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Warrenton Cemetery.
