Jessie Frey, 87, of Great Kills, the owner of a clothing design firm, died Sunday in St. Mary's Catholic Hospital, Cherry Hill, N.J. Born Jessie Procopio in Brooklyn, Mrs. Frey lived in Manhattan, New Jersey and the Bronx before settling on Staten Island in the early 1970s.
A clothing designer, she owned her own design business in Manhattan's garment district until she retired in 1975.
Mrs. Frey was a parishioner of St. Charles R.C. Church, Oakwood, and St. Bernard's R.C. Church, East Meadow, L.I.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and playing bingo.
Mrs. Frey and her late husband, William, who died in 1985, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1978
