Springfield Union, Springfield, MA., Thurs., 3 Jan 1974CHESHIRE--Dr. Harry N. Archibald, 95, of 88 New Lenox Rd., Lenox, former Cheshire town official and practicing physician 50 years, died Tuesday night in the Lenox Nursing Home. Dr. Archibald was school physician 38 years, selectman 11 years, a member of the School Board, School Building Committee in 1922, the Board of Finance and president of Cheshire Water Co., many years. Born in Salem, N.Y., he was a graduate of University of Vermont Medical School. He retired in 1958. He was a member of American and Berkshire District Medical Societies; a 50 year member of Massachusetts Medical Society and Ninth Presbyterian Church, Troy, N. Y. He leaves a son, Dr. Frank Archibald of Lenox, two grandsons and a great-grandson. The funeral will be Friday afternoon at Wellington Funeral Home, Pittsfield, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
