Her daughter, Michele, remembers that "Harriet loved coming from a big family-having four sisters and three brothers (not including the baby that died). She would have liked to have more kiddos herself."
OBIT: HARRIET JANE ELY, age 86, of Knoxville,TN, formerly of Hillard, OH, went to be with the lord Sunday evening, November 7, 2010. Harriet was a member of Freedom House Church of God in Knoxville. She taught Sunday School and was involved in Child Evangelism in Columbus Ohio for many years. Harriet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 37 years, Ernest Charles Ely, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Ernest Ely, Jr. of San Francisco,CA, Craig Allen Ely and wife Betty Ann of Columbus,OH: daughter MICHELE and husband Gary Bishop of Knoxville; grandchildren:Tabitha, Yvonne, April, Jason, Amanda and Leah; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; sister Ruth Anthony of Latrobe, PA; several nieces and nephews.
