Loyal Wife, Loving Mother, Gert was born in a family of 10 children. She grew up on a farm in Whitesburg, Ky. She worked her way through business college by babysitting for an Orthodox Jewish family. In 1945 she worked for the draft board. There she met Jasper Cornett, they married a month later. For medical reasons she could never have children. She and Jasper adopted three siblings. After the children attended school she hired a nanny. She worked at Whitesburg Memorial Hospital until 1962. The family moved to Naples, Fl. She worked as a secretary for her uncle Dewey Polly at his Real estate agency. She could take a business, build it from the ground up. She work at Naples Insurance Agency for 20 some years. She retired in 1987. Her health was failing from Blindness, Osteoporosis & Emphysema
