Actress. She shall be remembered for playing 'Liesl Von Trapp', the eldest daughter in the classic motion picture "The Sound of Music" (1965). Born Charmian Anne Farnon, her mother Rita Oehmen was an accomplished Vaudeville performer, her father Brian Farnon was a bandleader, she moved with her family to California during her early teenage years. Following her parent's path to the entertainment industry, she was cast as 'Liesl' for the film adaptation of the Broadway hit play "The Sound of Music" and performed the memorable song "I Am Sixteen Going on Seventeen". She followed this with the TV-Movie "Evening Primrose" (1966), prior to marrying and raising her family. She later founded design business. In addition to acting, she penned the books "Forever Liesl" and "Letters to Liesl" which recounted her experiences during the movie's filming. Her older sister Shannon Farnon and her younger sister Darleen Carr became accomplished actresses. Charmian died of complications from dementia.
