Mary E. Dane, 82, of 87 Main Street, Locust Gap, PA, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at her residence.
Born in Harrisburg, PA on December 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Kohr.
She was the widow of Joseph Dane, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1975.
She had attended Harrisburg schools; was a retired housekeeper for Msgr. Hubert J. McGuire. She had worked at Corpus Christi Parish in Chambersburg and St. Vincent DePaul Parish in Hanover before her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady in Mt. Carmel.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Grace Moore of Cincinnati, OH and Lillian Miller of White Oaks, PA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 11 a.m., in the Church of Our Lady in Mt. Carmel, with Rev, Francis Karwacki as celebrant. Burial in St. Edwards Cemetery in Shamokin. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday at the Joseph J. Stutz, Inc. Funeral Home, 40 South Market Street, Mt. Carmel, Joseph J. Stutz III, Supervising.
