Alvin M. Dunn, 72, Loogootee Rt. 3, died at the Bertha Ketchum Memorial Center in Odon at 4:05 PM Tuesday after a five month illness. He was born 3 August 1904 in Daviess County, son of Frank and Margaret (Walker) Dunn and was never married. Mr. Dunn was a retired post office worker at Crane and was a member of St. Mary, Barr township, Catholic church. Surviving are two brothers, Everett Dunn, Ypsilanti, Michigan and Bernard Dunn, Loogootee; four sisters, Edna Dunn and Mrs. Buford (Mary) Strange, Loogootee, Mrs. Delphie Spoonmore, Brownsburg, Indiana and Mrs. Norbert (Cleo) Strange, Brazil Indiana and 48 nieces and nephews. Two sisters have died. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Joseph Clauss at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Mary, Barr township, church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 7 PM today at the Titzer Funeral Home in Loogootee. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 Thursday.
