Martin, Harlan, "Marty", 89, entered into eternal rest on September 21, 2016. Harlan was a loving and caring man who enjoyed life. He retired from American Air Filter and was a member of Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church. Harlan enjoyed playing horseshoes, fishing, watching the Yankees play baseball, and coaching youth league baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne; son, Larry Martin; and granddaughter, Emily Elwanger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Anna Mattingly (Billy) and Nancy Pullen (Donald); 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; 8 sisters; and 3 brothers.

A Funeral Service will be Monday at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of the customary forms of expression, memorial contributions may be made in Harlan's name to the Sam Swope Care Center.
