Leatherwood - Averill S. 'Punch' Brammer, 84, of Route 1, Leatherwood, died Friday at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. He was born April 16, 1906, a son of the late George A. and Rosa Sites Brammer. He was a retired dairy farmer. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Salyers Brammer; two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Jean) Hankins of Gallipolis and Mrs. Robert (Emily) Little of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, John Brammer of Springfield and Gerald Brammer of Ironton; two stepsons, Herbert 'Pete' Karlet of South Point and William G. Ball of Ironton; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Willis, Mrs. Peter (Lottie) Pratt and Miss Letty Brammer, all of Route 1, South Point; and one brother, Tracy Brammer Sr. of Ironton. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Doc (Wilma) Sites; three brothers, Glen Brammer, Wallace Brammer and Stanley Brammer; and one sister, Mrs. Imogene Kelly. Services are at 2 p.m. today at Highland Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Homer Webb officiating. There will be no visitation. The family, suggests any memorials be sent to an American Kidney Foundation. Tracy Brammer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
