Barbara JoEllen (Henderson) Latham, our beloved mom, sister, aunt and grandma was born August 16, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio and left to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on September 11, 2016.

As a little girl she lived in a community known as “Fly Town” and later moved to the south side of Columbus. There she met her husband, Kenneth L. Latham. Out of this unionthree children were born: Kendal “Boo”, Kevin “Bubbles”, and her baby, Kendra “Peach.”

Barbara was a proud graduate of South High School. Shortly after graduation she went to work for Western Electric, which later became AT&T and, ultimately, Lucent Technologies, from which she retired after 35 years of service.

Her children, extended family, and her relationship with the Lord were her passions. Barbara was an extremely outgoing person and everyone knew of her fire for the Lord. She ministered to strangers tirelessly about the love of Christ, and the necessity to accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Barbara was a praying woman - she was a prayer warrior, praying relentlessly for her children and their spouses, and others in need. She was a soul-winner, always meeting new people and introducing them to Christ. Barbara could always be found encouraging the “saints“, and exhorting them to trust in the Lord and His Word. Her constant confession was “God has always taken care of me” and that “His Word never fails.” She trusted God until the day she went to be with Him. Barbara leaves behind a rich Christian legacy.

Preceded by her parents, Nathaniel Henderson and Grace Henderson; and her brothers John and Darrell.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her three children and five grandchildren, all whom serve the Lord as she did. She is also survived by her brothers, Nate, Jr, Barry; her sisters, Gwen, Willa; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
