For five seasons (1987 to 1991), he played at the nose tackle and defensive tackle positions in the National Football League with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. He made his initial mark on the football field during his years at Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey went on to play collegiate football at the University of Pittsburgh. Selected by the Green Bay Packers during the 4th round of the 1987 NFL Draft, he signed with the Steelers In 1990 while with the Steelers, he produced 2 sacks during that season. He totaled 62 career regular season games. After retiring as a player, he served as an assistant high school football coach in the Pittsburgh-area. He died suddenly while asleep.
