James A. Shearer, 86, of San Diego died Tuesday. He was born in Sheridan, Ark., and was a mechanic and service manager for Davies Motors and John Hine Pontiac. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his daughters, Lois Barrett of Poway and Kathleen Maiden of San Diego; sons, Donald Shearer of San Diego, Dean Shearer of Ohio and Douglas Shearer of San Diego; sister, Clarice Henderson of Colton; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. today, El Camino Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.
Services: 3 p.m. tomorrow at the mortuary.
