David M. Hollady Claimed By Death
David M. Hollady, 89, of 2301 Spring Garden Street, died at 5:45 p.m. yesterday in Wesley Long Hospital after an illness of two weeks.
Hollady, a native of Chatham County, came to Greensboro in 1900 to become associated with the Odell Hardware Company. He had been with the company until going on the inactive list about a year ago.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Lula Holladay, and two sons, David K. and Hugh Hollady, all of Greensboro; two half sisters, Mrs. J. J. Thomas of Burlington, and Mrs. Nancy Poe of Liberty; one half brother, Kearney Buckner of Liberty and one grandson.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanes Chapel with Rev. Paul Townsend, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery near Staley. The body will remain at the funeral home until the hour of the service.
