Mrs. Gail Miller Royal, age 62, of Thurmond, NC passed away at her home on Thursday October 13, 2016.

She was born in Florence Co. SC on July 9, 1954 to the late Talbert Walker Miller and the late Edna Wisenhunt Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Stokes Jr; four sisters: Sherry Collins, Judy Simmons, Diane White, Rodgie Brazil.

She was previously employed by Pepsi in Jonesville.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Jeanna Black of Dobson; thirteen grandchildren: Daniel Windfelder, Marcus Lee Black, Jr, Cheyenne Black, Chris Williamson, Summer Black, Rain Black, Cheyenne Royal, James Royal, Rose Padgett, Kelly Allen; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Allan Beamon of Dobson; a special niece, Casey Royal; several nieces and nephews; step-father, Jim McCoy of Pinnacle; step-son, Chris Royal of Austin; and her family pet/son, Cob.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM at Second Chance Church (449 Bear Creek Church Rd, Dobson, NC 27017), Sunday, October 16, 2016, with Rev. Terry Coe officiating the service.

The family will receive friends at Second Chance Church in Dobson one hour before the service.
