SHREVEPORT, LA – Inez Olivia McAlpin, age 92, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, October 13th, 2016. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Woodridge Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA with Dr. Chuck McInturf officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA. Services are under the arrangement of Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Inez was born in Saline, Louisiana on November 12th, 1923. She graduated from Zwolle High School and received her high school diploma. She was married to Paul Edward McAlpin in November of 1952. Inez was a homemaker and was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church. She had a passion for her church, family, and several foster children.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward McAlpin, her parents, Marion L. Vinzant and Victoria Vinzant, and her sister Mildred Erlinger. She was survived by her son, Rickey Lynn McAlpin and his wife Deborah Lynn; grandchildren, Dustin Lynn McAlpin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honoring Inez as pallbearers will be the Deacons of Woodridge Baptist Church.
