DIES IN NEW JERSEY
-
Word has reached friends here of the death last week at Metachen(sic), N. J., of Charles B. Ames, son of the late Mrs. S. E. K. Ames, who conducted the Ames Academy in Mechanicville many years ago.
Mr. Ames was a noted journalist, for several years having been the editor of one of the prominent motoring periodicals. He was a graduate of Williams college, and besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Gordon Ames Pattison, of Montclair, N. J.
The family was well-known to other residents of this city, and the news of the death of Mr. Ames will be received with regret.
