Funeral services with military honors for Omer Lee Manning, Jr., 72, of DeRidder, LA, were held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, DeRidder, LA, Rev. Danny Wilson and Rev. Alan Knuckles officiated. Burial followed in Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, LA.

Omer Lee was born July 25, 1944, to Omer Lee and Hazel Willis Manning, Sr. in DeRidder, LA. He passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, in his residence in DeRidder, LA. He lived most of his life in DeRidder, LA. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed photography. He was a retired project manager with Civil Service at Ft. Polk, LA and also served as a part-time sheriff’s deputy for the Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Department and was a security guard. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam war.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years of DeRidder; three daughters and one son-in-law; one brother and sister-in-law of Alexandria, LA; one sister of Longville, LA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
