Geneva Harben Ezell Carr, 88, died at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2001 at the Franklin Skilled Care in Benton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Roger Ellsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carr was born in San Antonio, TX on Aug 29, 1912, the daughter of John and Martha Bruce. She was affectionately known as "Grandma GEGE".

She was a member of the McLeansboro Street Church of God.

Geneva is survived by her husband, Earl Carr of Benton; daughter-in-law, Lodeen Lemons and husband Dick of Benton; granddaughter Jackie Willis and husband John of Benton; Grandson Mark Harben and wife Becky of Benton; great-grandchildren, Ryan Willis and wife Tara of Rochester, MN, Mitzie Willis of Benton, Niki Jones and husband Jeremy of Energy, Jamie Wilson and husband Travis of Darmstadt, Germany, Marci Harben of Benton; three great-great-grandchildren, Carly and Brant Wilson and Lauryn Willis; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her parents, by several brothers and sisters and by her only son, Donald Jack Harben.
