Jane Jefferson Lewis Eskridge and Walker Brooke were married at Shongolo (now Vaiden), Mississippi on September 24, 1840. Walker Brooke (born December 25, 1813) was the son of Humphrey and Sarah Walker (Page) Brooke of Pagebrooke, Clarke County Virginia.
