∼CARTER Edward Dewey Carter, 70, known to many as "Boots", went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2009. Born December 13, 1938, to the late Newman E. King and Lucille Reed Carter. Retired after 39 years of service with WE/AT&T/Alcatel Lucent Technologies. A longtime member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ.
