Edna Lenor (Banks) Griffin, was born September 16, 1911 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Edgar and Willie Banks. At age 98, she passed away at home on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 with her loving family by her side.

Edna was affectionately known to family and friends as "Muffa."

She was a charter member of St. Philip Lutheran Church, serving faithfully in numerous positions.

Preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Willie Banks; three siblings and husband James H. Griffin, Sr.

Muffa leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Norma Murrell, Willa Valdez; sons, James H. (Debra) Griffin, Jr., Robert V. (Joyce) Griffin; nephew, James N. Knight; godchildren, Jerami (Asmaret) Testimichael; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, and many friends.
