Greek Statesman. He served as the Prime Minister of Greece from October 12, 1989 to November 23, 1989. He studied law at the University of Athens and in 1954, became a judge. He took part as a judge in the Greek Junta Trials in 1975, and in 1979, he was appointed to the Supreme Court of Greece for Civil and Criminal Cases. He became vice-president of the court in 1986 and three years later, president of the Supreme Court. In October of 1989 he became prime minister after a deadlock between the two leading parties followed the parliamentary elections. He served for a month until new elections were held. He retired from the Supreme Court in 1990.
