She moved to Peshtigo with her parents in 1945 and attended Peshtigo High School where she excelled in art and mathematics and was good ice speed skater.
In 1946, she married Robert K. Sharpe of Peshtigo, WI and he preceded her in death. She resided in Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Arizona and Michigan in life. She continued to excel in art and loved creating originals for friends and family. She liked the Native American culture and enjoyed making American Indian Jewelry.
A self-taught musician, she played the organ and bass guitar in many country western bands in Wisconsin and Arizona and was a gifted ceramist.
In recent years, she enjoyed flowers and gardening, shared seeds with others and was an avid collector of antiques, souvenirs, crafts and personal treasures.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge. She and her husband were awarded a citation from the VFW for their service.
Four children survive, including, Marcie (Jerry) Vanneste of Sterling Heights, MI; Steven (Linda) and Jon (Gloryanne), both of Waterford, WI and Randy of Waterloo, WI;
three brothers, Herman (Shirley) of DePere, WI; Malcolm of Clintonville, WI and Robert of Bel Air, MD;
many nieces; nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in both Waterford and Peshtigo.
