MRS. KRISTI NESS
Funeral services for Mrs. Kristi Ness were conducted by Rev. Amon O. Johnson of the Bethlehem Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The services were held at the Waggener & Campbell chapel and two beautiful hymns were presented by Clide Carr as soloist with accompaniment by Mrs. J. M. Carlson, organist. Friends who served as pallbearers were Mayo Shultz, Olaf Olien, Fred Reeves, W. N. Watters, Orville Conrad and M. M. Watters. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.
OBITUARY
Mrs. Kristi Ness was born in Norway on March 25, 1871 to Paul and Thea Westby Olsen. She came to the United States in 1888 at the age of 17 years.
In the year 1890 she was united in marriage to Olaf O. Ness of Clayton, Iowa, the wedding taking place at Lake Preston, South Dakota.
The Ness family came to Kalispell in 1915 to make their home for a short time and returned in 1930 to make this their permanent residence.
Mrs. Ness passed away at her home at 1003 Eighth avenue west, Kalispell, on November 20, 1948 at the age of 77.
Surviving her are three sons, Oscar Ness, Shelby, Mont., James Ness, Kalispell, and George Ness, Falconer, N. Y.; four daughters, Mrs. Virgil Ross, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Fred Wiese and Mrs. Elizabeth Reid, Kalispell; and Mrs. Marion Henderson, Bigfork, Mont.; also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
