Don Szymaniak, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 3, 2013 at the age of 79. He was born on January 1, 1934, in East Chicago, Indiana, to Casimer and Helen Virginia (Kaczorowski) Szymaniak. On February 22, 1953, Don married Jean Marie Flowers in Hernando, Mississippi. He was a member of the Christ Fellowship Church in McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Szymaniak of McKinney; Daughter, Lisa Busch and husband Rob of McKinney; daughter-in-law, Robin Szymaniak of McKinney; grandchildren, Ryan and Taylor Szymaniak; and sister, Joan Stevens and husband Al of Santa Cruz, California; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Don is preceded in death by his parents Casimer and Helen Szymaniak and son, Michael Szymaniak.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held on Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
