Father William served at St Michaels in Monroe, White Sulpher Springs Church in W Virginia, St Mary's Royal Oak, St Anne's in Warren and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church Birmingham, among other church's.

Father William invented a card game that combined Bridge and Pitch, and enjoyed golf. His brother Walter Pipp played ball for the Tigers, the Yankee's and the Cincinnati Reds
