He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 18, 1900, the son of the late John T. DeMott and Bertha DeMott. He had been a resident of Greenwich for more than 50 years, was a retired employee of the Electrolux Corp., Old Greenwich, and had been associated with the Bruce Memorial Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith deVeau DeMott of the home address; a son, Donald L. DeMott of the Riverside section of Greenwich and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Fred D. Knapp and Son Memorial Home, 267 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas W. Cupp officiating. Interment will follow in Putnam Cemetery, Greenwich. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
