Waist Gunner aboard B-17F Flying Fortress
#42-29894 "Baltimore Bounce."

Struck by German fighter cannon fire, causing
an explosion of a wing fuel tank, separating
the wing and causing the plane to go down in
the Laubke district of Lemgo, Germany.
All aboard were killed.

Son of Arthur S. Nye and Erna A. Krick of
338 E. Elm Street, Shillington, Pa.

Entered service at Shillington, Sept. 4, 1942.
