The New Orleans Paper announce the death of Mrs. Amy Blanchard at Natchitoches (though her residence was at Rapides) on the 15th of Dec. She was the oldest daughter of Col. Thomas Newton Sr. Folloing the fortunes of her husband the late Thomas Blanchard, she left the place of the her nativity in the year 1811 and became and continued till her death at a residence of Louisiana. She left two sons and many grandchildren in that stat. Among them Col Thomas Newton, hr brother and the descendants of 4 sisters. She was 70.
