Wilbur Augustus Allen, Jr. 90 of Pleasant Hope passed away in his home on Monday Jan. 2, 2017. Wilbur was born Jan. 8, 1926 in Maryville, Missouri to Wilbur Augustus and Sybil Allen, Sr. Wilbur served in the U.S. Marines during WW II, he retired from Zenith Television after over 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Buddy Joe and his wife, Freda. Wilbur is survived by his 6 sons and their spouses, Steve and Carol, Bob and Kathi, Tom and Marjorie, Chris and Charlotte, Larry and Paula and Bill and Pam; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; his brother James Allen; his sister Joanne Cruse.
Burial with military honors in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
