Bruce Berringer, 62, of Rossiter, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at his home.

Bruce was born on Nov. 13, 1954, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Burr and Betty Berringer Sr.

Bruce had a passion for hunting and fishing, especially taking trips to the mountains with his good friend, Joe Carcella, to admire the elk and be in the outdoors. Bruce will be sadly missed by many family members and friends.

Bruce is survived by a brother, Burr Berringer and wife Sue of Rossiter; a nephew, Michael Burr Berringer and wife Beth; two nieces, Michelle Brink and husband Danny and Kelly Isenberg; and six great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyler Burr Berringer, Mesha Brink, Mikeelee Brink, Bronson Brink, Ashley Isenberg and Gavin Isenberg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Isenberg.

Friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m., with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating.

Private interment will follow at Pearce Cemetery.
