Louise Centra went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at the Greensburg Care Center.

Louise was born March 11, 1924, in Vandergrift, a daughter of the late Luigi and Joanna Eramo Centra and lived most of her life in Avonmore in her childhood home.

She retired from Federal Laboratories Inc. in Saltsburg, where she was employed for 35 years as a shipping clerk.

She loved to cook, collect recipes, read the Bible and all literature that dealt with religion.

She was a member of the Fannie Sellins Lodge No. 47 in Avonmore and the Avonmore Historical Society.

Louise is survived by her sister, Sylvia Machulsky, of Avonmore, and preceded by her parents and sisters, Jacinta Veneziani and Josephine Sciotti. Louise's faith in God sustained her many times throughout her life.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore. Services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Pastor Lee Rupert will officiate. Interment will take place in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
