Evelyn Naomi Hart Gress Novis of Colfax, Calif. passed away peacefully on December 29, 2016 at the age of 91.
She was born on June 17, 1925 in White Sulphur Springs, Mont. to Jack and Eva Hart of Colfax, Calif.
Evelyn was a loving wife and mother. She started studying the Bible with Jehovah's witnesses in the early fifties in Stockton, Calif. and has been a faithful witness to Jehovah God for over 60 years. She was an active member of Colfax East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her first husband George Gress of French Camp, Calif., second husband Donald Novis of Colfax; granddaughter Stefani Gress of Cotati, Calif.; four brothers: Earl, Frank, Deloy and Walter; and two sisters: Irma and Arlene.
She is survived by her sons; daughters; sister; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great great grandson as well as numerous family members, nephews and nieces.
Final arrangements are being handled by Angel Care Cremation and Burial of Orangevale, Calif. A private burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery.
