Musician. Founding member of the 1960s garage band "The Soul Survivors", the will be remembered for their 1967 Top 10 hit "Expressway (To Your Heart)". Along with his older brother Charlie Ingui and Kenny Jeremiah, the formed their first group "The Dedications. Following their relocation to Philadelphia, the came under the guidance of legendary record producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff and with the Crimson label, their debut album "When the Whistle Blows Anything Goes" (1967). Their signature hit "Expressway (To Your Heart)" earned a number four placing on the American Billboards Chart. They followed this with the single "Explosion (In Your Soul)", which achieved Top 40 status in 1968. Further albums include "Take Another Look" (1968) and "Soul Survivors" (1974). The group disbanded in 1979 and Richie when on to become a house painter. During the late 1980s, the band reunited and performed with "Hall and Oates" at Philadelphia's Spectrum in 2009. Ingui died from heart failure.
