Clare's birth name was Klaaske. Her obituary (Chicago Tribune, 25 Nov) states that she was 78, lived at 5506 Kenmore Ave., and died in St. Francis Hospital (Evanston). Services were to be held on 25 Nov at Lain and Son Chapel, 5501 N. Ashland Ave. Clare had been a member of Goodwill Industries and a director of the Christmas seal campaign (Tuberculosis institute). She left behind her husband, Harrison P. Schumacher, and a sister, Elsie Marousek, of Grand Rapids, Mich. Burial would be at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
