Actor. Fondly remembered for playing 'Dr. Garret Macy' in the television series "Crossing Jordan" (2001 to 2007) and as 'Owen Granger" in the TV program "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2012 until his death). Born into a family of distinguished, well-known entertainers, his father was Academy Award winner Jose Ferrer, his mother was singer Rosemary Clooney, he was also the cousin of actor George Clooney. Miguel initially took an interest in music and began playing the drums at an early age. He contributed musically to "The Who's" drummer Keith Moon's solo project "Two Sides of the Moon" (1975), prior to gravitating towards acting. He was trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and marked his television debut in a 1981 episode of the program "Magnum, P.I.". Additionally, Ferrer was identifiable for his voice work on such animated series as "Jackie Chan Adventures" and "Young Justice". Among his film credits include "Robo Cop" (1987) and "Point of No Return" (1993). He died from cancer.
