Sue Huckaba, age 73, of Smeltzer Rd., Marion died unexpectedly, Saturday evening, November 4, 2006 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born on October 10, 1933 in Waynesboro, TN to the late Raymond M. and Lizzie (Martin) Huckaba.
Survived by five brothers: Guy A. (Cheryl) Huckaba of Marion, Mayhon (Sharon) Huckaba of Marion, Robert A. (Shirley) Huckaba of Richwood, Ray (Sue) Huckaba Jr. of Lansing, MI, Bill C. (Betty) Huckaba of Worthington, nieces, and nephews.
She retired from Parker Hannifen Corp. formerly B.F. Goodrich of Green Camp.
Sue was a member of Mt. Vernon Ave Church of Christ, VFW 7201, Pleasant Senior Citizens, Ladies Auxiliary FOE 0983, and Women of the Moose 448. She was always willing to help other people as a volunteer especially at Rotary Towers, Salvation Army serving meals and at the Palace Theater.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers Eugene Edward and James Don Huckaba and Step-mother, Dorothea R. (Lyon) Huckaba.
Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 p.m at the Denzer, Farison, Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion. Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Vernon Ave. Church of Christ, 947 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
