Formula 1 and sportscar driver. Born in Turin, Italy. In 1963 he won the Le Mans 24hr Race for Ferrari and was picked for the F1 team gaining a 6th place in the Dutch GP. He excelled at driving the Ferrari sportscars and only raced in ten GPs. In 1966 he won the Italian GP at Monza, his only GP win. In 1968 after three races in an Eagle F1 car, he raced Coopers gaining two 4th places at the Spanish and Monaco GPs. Scarfiotti was killed in 1968 when his Ferrari mysteriously crashed into trees at the Rossfeld hillclimb, near Berchtesgaden, Germany.
