Professional Baseball Player. Cincinnati native Clarence H. Munson was known as "Red". He played Major League baseball as a catcher with the National League Philadelphia Phillies in 1905. His debut came late in the season on August 28th when he was 22 years old. He struggled behind the plate committing 7 errors while collecting only three hits in 9 games. Little did he know that his short stint in the Majors that year would be the only time he would ever play at the top level. Munson continued to play professionally in the minor leagues for several seasons before calling it quits.
